|
Two people have been charged and remanded into custody following a robbery in Potters Bar this week. It was reported that at around 5.55pm on Wednesday (25 February), a man aged in his 20s was walking along High Street when he was approached by a group of people. He was assaulted, sustaining a head injury and back pain, and had his bike stolen. Fast time enquiries led to two people being arrested while the Hertsmere Criminal Investigation Department (CID) worked to progress the investigation. Ronnie Bates, aged 19, from Aston Way, Potters Bar, has been charged with robbery and possession of cannabis. A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with robbery and possession of cannabis. Both have been remanded into custody and are due to appear before court today (Friday 27 February). Anyone with information about the incident is still urged to come forward. If you saw what happened, or have any further details, please email Investigator Harding at Chloe.Harding@herts.police.uk.
